Left Justified Studio

Tabletop gaming veteran Jeff Tidball started Left Justified LLC as a freelance design and consulting company when he left his position as Vice President of Product Development at Fantasy Flight Games in 2008.

After years of working with more than two dozen other publishers, he finally decided to publish his own designs — as well as the new designs of others — under the Left Justified Studio brand. Starting with the experimental play-anywhere social game Band or Album, he licensed the designs that became Jewels for the Emperor Penguin and Broken and Beautiful. The stage was set!

The Prolific Story

Prolific Games was founded by Bill Sininger in 2010 with the publication of Flapjacks & Sasquatches. He was joined later by partner John Harris.

Together, Bill and John enlivened regional and national conventions from Twin Cities–based Con of the North to international mega-con Gen Con, publishing new games like Witch Slapped and expansions like Cup of Joe. Their goal was always creating and teaching games that deliver fun for every player.

By 2020, Bill and John yearned to return their focus to their families and full-time careers. They sold Prolific to Left Justified, where their philosophy dovetailed perfectly with Jeff's steadfast belief that games are just about the most fun you can have with your family and friends.

Left Justified LLC is the business entity that owns Prolific Games. Left Justified Studio is its umbrella brand for publishing, teaching, and consulting. Prolific Games is its brand — we sometimes also call it an “imprint” — for lighter, family-friendly games like Flapjacks & Sasquatches and Witch Slapped. Other imprints emphasizing different game styles may follow!
